What Genders are my Buff Silkies (4.5mos)?

My silkies are just over 4.5 months. Wanted to know what you think of their sexes.

Here is my best friend, who I hope is a female so she will be kept (don't want to pay for roosters, giving way all but 1) Is it just me or is that crest ADORABLE?
My guess: Female

Another one, not crested but still cute!
My guess: Female

This one is fiestier with a different one (not shown, he crowed yesterday so sex confirmed)
My guess: Male


Also, some silkie questions:

When do buff silkies lay?

When do buff silkies go broody?

Why do some buff silkies have crests and others don't?

i see one cockerel and 2 pullets all are crested even though the crest are small
