That red one looks like a hatchery quality rhode island red or some other red breed....

The store said they where all RIR X RIW my dad didn't want pure RIR's so he got these guys

So... the pullets can be dark and light, but if that was a cockerel it shoukd be lighter?

No I don't... They looked the same since we got them... Just smaller

What other breeds did the store have?
Why doesn’t your dad want pure breeds? Sex links usually suffer from egg related complications which generally are the result of their death. Also sex links are spent at 4 years old if you’re lucky.

They had lots of bin things? (Like a big metal bathtube looking thing, each with a sign of what theyw are. These where labeld as cinnamon queens than a sub label of RIR x RIW and he had RIR's as a kid and didn't like there mean like behavior so he thought a mix would keep the egg laying part but loose the meaness and they came out of the same bin, so they are all the same breed

Did the bin specify if they were pullets, cockerels, or straight run?

Did the bin have a picture of what the chicks looked like? They usually do so you know what the chick should look like. On sex link bins I think they have a picture of a cockerel and a pullet chick.
