I have I believe four 5 week old rir chicks.

I asked on facebook, and got mixed responses. Some say all roo, some say half and half.

Unnamed chick 1 (im guessing cockerel from the short tail and red comb)

Unnamed chick 2 (also guessing cockerel for the same reasons.)

Robin (guessing pullet for the lack of comb and long tail feathers)

Aunt Sammy (guessing pullet because of lack of comb growth)

I also suspect those two with the larger combs... but for now, two early to tell. And the tail feathers really doesn't mean much when they're growing in... Give it a few more weeks and you will know for sure.
Ah, im not really sure where I got the tail thing from.
My last chicks, I could really tell at this age who were going to be cockerels, I haven't had any experience with rir chicks.

It's too early to be certain as has been said but the first 2 look like cockerels, #3 could go either way, and the last 2 look like pullets. Things can change on the last 3 but the first 2 are very likely to be boys.

These all look like mixes to me, not pure RIR or even pure Production reds.

Hmm, I bred these lil monsters, though the only mature chickens I have are rhode island red hens, rooster, and a polish. Im kinda hoping they are polish.
