What got my chickens?

I came home in the middle of the day and found 8 chickens gone. So far I have found 3, dead in the long grass (spread out, not all together). No obvious wounds on two, the third is a little chewed on but not eaten. Still looking for the others. Ideas? Dog, Fox, something else. I free range my chickens during the day, they are 12 weeks. TIA

Sounds like coyotes. They have taken several of mine in the middle of the day. I actually shot one this morning approaching my coop. Any tracks?

Chewed, but not eaten? Sounds like a neighbors dog that was fed good that got loose, and killed your chickens for sport.

not finding any tracks yet. there may be some scat, possibly fox, im trying to figure it out.

Could be dog, fox, coyote...12 weeks olds are pretty vulnerable...
....doesn't really matter what got em, better lock em up cause what ever it was will likely be back for more.

Sounds like a dog. Had one kill 30 chickens in one day. She had them all over the yard and woods. Dogs gone now!
