What happened to my rabbit? Worried chickens are next.

I had two rabbits kept outside in a hutch, one white and one black. The hutch (Eglu) and the main part of the run are very secure. I added a dog pen to the run to extend their space. I forgot to close the access to the dog pen, so the rabbits had access to the pen, and so did anything else. Today I discovered the black rabbit was gone. Keep in mind, this is a relatively big rabbit, who can be aggressive. No blood. No fur everywhere. And the white rabbit was still there, which was odd since it's small. There was only this hole dug to prove that anything odd had happened. It's like the rabbit just vanished. The pen is

roughly three feet tall, and they have never tried to jump it in the three weeks I've had it. I feel incredibly guilty. I have 2 month old chickens, and I'm worried they are next.

There were no tunnels under anything, and the majority of the run has wide spaced wire to prevent that. This hole is just a dead end. I've never seen them dig anything close to that size.
