We have 6 leg horn hens that are from tractor supply about 5-6 months old. They started laying about a few weeks ago.
Today we noticed one hen in a nesting box and let her be figuring she was laying. An hour later we checked and she was still there eyes closed unmoving and breathing heavy. She passed. She had some soupy egg stuff on her.
We have been noticing a few shell less eggs and increased their oyster shell.
We did have a rooster by mistake but had to give him away a few days ago
