What happened?

Hi everyone!

So, a couple of weeks ago I needed grease for my chainsaw. The wife and I were out and about, so we stopped in to our local Tractor Supply to pick up some. While I headed over to the chainsaw section, she started browsing. The next thing I know, her Kansas heritage has shown itself, my daughter is there, they have selected 3 pairs of chicks and the wife has announced that this is the start of our farm! How did that happen???

We are Keri and Chuck, and we live in Gloucester county in southeast Virginia. Like many adventures before, we have jumped right in. Now we’re playing catch-up, trying to learn all we can about raising and keeping chickens. So glad we’ve found BackYard Chickens!!
