What happened?

Last evening we collected an egg with just a soft membrane, no hard shell.
This morning we found this ??? calcium ball on Bobs bucket.

The large egg is for size comparison only. We fed the other soft shell egg to Bella.

For now I would just chalk that up to random weirdness. If it keeps happening though, try and find out who's laying the odd eggs and do a health check on her

Ooh, a fairy egg! I save mine. The innards dry up. Also known as a rooster egg, fart egg, wind egg. Nothing to worry about. Not uncommon among young pullets just starting out or old gals fixing to retire from egg laying.

We call them 'glitches in the matrix' lol our 2yo Black Australorp laid one day before. Before and after eggs were normal.
