So about 2 1/2 weeks ago our Cornish hen decided to go broody so we let her sit, thought it would be neat to let her hatch them just let nature take its course. She had been doing great was sitting on about 6 or 8 eggs had plucked some feathers off her chest she was dedicated never leaving the coop. This morning I go to feed and water and there she is dusting herself, I thought that was weird so I check her box and every egg is smashed and scattered through the coop! What happened why did she do this or did she do this could another hen do that? It dosent look like a predator got them just looks like an abortion any ideas or help so I can hopefully prevent this next time will be great thanks.
