what has happened to eggbid?

Does anybody know why eggbid is offline? I am hoping it is not permanent.

Yes, its permanent. The people who owned eggbid stopped running it a while ago and it was running on autopilot.

Try ovabid.com So far it the biggest auction site out there.

There was a pretty involved thread about this a couple of weeks back. Apparently, the site was no longer being monitored, things got pretty iffy and messy before the site got closed down.
