EE or Amricauna? Pullet or Cockerel? I'm not sure how old it is. I thought it was a pullet (the way she followed the lead roo around and was his favorite) but I haven't seen any eggs... And she's gettin awful big so I'm guessing it's standerd size.

ETA: it's beard was MUCH bigger but I had to cut it all off because it had lice eggs stuck in it bad.

i say EE roo. if you got it from a special ameraucana breeder then maybe not, but from a hatchery, EE for sure.

boy. See on the photo of his back, there are orangey looking shiny feathers that are long and skinny and hang off to the side? Those are saddle feathers. Girls don't get them. Take him out in the sun and look at them. They will look extra shiny compared to the surrounding feathers.

The saddle feathers did look long and the hackle feathers pointed. I was told americauna, but you know how that is.

It just acted an awful lot like a female.

I am not sure of the breed, but I do have some EEs that looked very similar to yours. I think it is defiantly a roo.
