Well, this afternoon the animal control officer who is also a friend called today to tell us our horse had gotten out and that it was up the road. Told him I was sick and DH was not home that I would go and get it as soon as I could. Well he showed up as I was getting up the hill (takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk). No my horse was not up the road, he was in the adjoining pasture to his... he was let out yet once again...
un Well, he and I started talking and I brought up the subject of rescuing chickens... LOL put my foot in my mouth there didn't I. But anyways... I told him that I would be more than happy to take care of them or find homes if they needed... Does anyone else have their property open to rescued animals from an animal shelter or animal control? They also have permission to use us for any other livestock since we have the room. But so far they have not had to use us for anything. But now that I said I would take in chickens, turkeys, ducks, ummmm Think I need to build something just in case... How do I always get myself into these predicaments?? LOL
