You may remember me from my first post a couple weeks ago.
We had three males -- two blue Indian Runners and one Buff Orpington -- and one female, also a Buff. (Sadly, my big dog, Barley, got into them and dispatched the male Buff ...) Anyway, we're trying to see if there's any way of reading the colors/markings and getting an idea of what we might have ended up with?
Here's some links to pics of the babies. (These were taken last weekend ... and I swear they've doubled in size since then!)
The one in front is pretty much all brown. In the back is one that is gray with yellow around the eyes, tips of the wings, and chest/neck area. Very pretty looking. On the far left is the giant (and, I think one of the first hatched) of the flock who is all yellow with a very bright orange beak and stripe going from one eye around the back to the other. All the other ducks are kind of generic yellow duckies ...
Any ideas? This is (obviously) our first time with ducklings, so maybe we just need to patient, but we're just curious about the ones that are very obviously marked.
Here's some pics of the parents (also listed in my other post):
Female buff: pic one pic two
Male runners, buff male in the background: pic
Black and white male runner: pic
All black male runner, looking quite handsome: url
EDIT: I think my girlfriend might jump on here and correct me -- I should probably refer to them as "blue", not "black". Hah.
