What herbs are good to put in nesting boxes

I started a herb row in my garden years ago.
One herb that i value is wormwood. Its grows easily is hardy for my climate and started springing up everwhere.
It is a well known treatment for intestinal worms and is an overall bug deterent. In the garden it will repel bugs from the neighboring plants.
I saw little bugs in a couple of my nest boxes after a couple eggs broke in them and left a guey mess that was hard to compleatly clean out, so i chopped some wormwood and put it on the bottom, then some straw on top. Low and behold bugs vacated the premises quickly. Plus the smell of wormwood is like eucaliptus. A nice smell.
Never have i had my eggs take on the taste of any herb mixture in my nest boxes.
I also chop up my many types of mint and basil that continue to spread and try to take over the entire garden and lawn.
Its a pleasant smell to encounter in the chicken coop.
