Does anyone grow any herbs for your chickens to eat?Right now we have comfrey and the chickens love it and I have heard that it is high in protein.Any others?anyone ever feed mint? Thanks:D

Echinacea is a good plant. Helps with colds in humans. May help with respiratory problems in chickens. Alfalfa, that's good too. Not sure about Thyme or marigold, though.

Oh, maybe some Lemon Balm too. Mine like that

Anytime that I fee like giving it too them, really. But, I would get some good started plants or else the chickens will eat them down to nothing.

We have two volunteer borage plants growing in the chicken yard - and the chickens haven't touched them... At least their flowers are pretty.

Here is what we have growing here wild but can be bought. Comon Plantian herb, clover both red and white, thistles, wild oats and wheat, mullien herb, kentucjy rye or blue grass. that is just a small sample of what we have growing that I have seen them eat here.
