i've looked on here about hatching chicken eggs and have got 99.5 for temp but what's the best humidity? i've read 50% for day 1-18 and 65 for lockdown, and then read 65% for 1-18 and 80-85 for lockdown. what humidity have you had the best luck with? also any other advice would be great since this is my first time hatching chicken eggs. thanks!

at 1-18 day= 45-55%
after that 55-65%

high humidity make shell be hard and chicks and pip , high humidity about 80%.

at all humidity isn't important as temp.

I don't know what to set my humidity at because i've read 10 different settings and i'm afraid of messing up lol. I'm setting them in the bator 2mrw though and just don't know what to do

i'm afraid i'll either have it too low or too high

don't worry about humidity, 10 % different is OK as I know.

a lot depends on where you live and the relative humidity in your home.. people in very humid areas tend to find they do better with lower humidity during incubation.. where people who live in very dry areas do better around 45%

so take that into consideration as a starting point.. and experiment from there
