What if electricity surges?

I don't have an incubator yet, but am planning to get one soon. Here's my dilemma... where I live, the electricity surges OFTEN. So often that if we aren't actively using the computer, it doesn't stay plugged into the wall, even with a protector. Are there certain bators out there that handle surges better than others? What can I do to prevent egg death if it surges while I'm gone to work or asleep for the night?

You could make one out of a light an hot water thermostat. That can handle surges.
