Another Kat. Actually Kathleen.
My birth family calls me Kath.
My SO and all of my Arkansas friends call me Kat.
I sign important papers and work documents Kathleen.
My birth family thinks it's ridiculous that I shortened my name to Kat about 10 years ago, although I have a sister Patricia who is Pat with no problem from them.

I just started ignoring anyone that called me anything but Kat and got my point across. I like to think Kath, Kathy, and Kathleen are someone I left behind in another place (more painful time).
