Kristin here, never Kris, unless it's my parents or brother. Don't know why. I think it had something to do with being confused with Chris/Christine as a kid. I was very shy and hated correcting people when they called me Chris or pronounced my name Christine. Kristin was not very common in CT in the late 60s/ early 70s.

My last name is Rosa and sometimes people confuse my first and last name. Call me Rosa instead of Kim.
My maiden name was Hanna and that also was confused with my first name, as a result I have been called many different things over the years even once got a credit card with my names reversed...Strange

Well, a friend calls me Ped and that's fine...

Another friend didn't shorten but lengthen it to call me Peedro. Ick! He's a good friend so, I'll allow it but don't anyone else dare!

In high school I used to go by the name "Peter" and that was fine too. Somehow though, I was told I didn't look like a Peter. What IS a Peter suppose to look like, I don't know?

I've been called Pete too and THAT I loath. Never liked it.
