Has anyone ever noticed when trying to sex silkie chicks that there is a difference in the way the combs attach to their heads? What I mean is if you take a chick of any age and hold the feathering down and part it away from where the comb joins the top of the head.. on some it joins in a very tight pointed V and in others in joins in a nice rounded area. I have been trying very hard to find a way to early sex them and this is one difference that is there right from hatching and still there later when fully feathered. I am still waiting to see if it could be a difference between sexes. Would'nt this be nice!!? Has any one else ever noticed this and do you think we could be on to something? Opinions please...
