What if you get a roo?

I suspect one of the polish crested I bought specifically to bring my male to female ratio into balance is a roo. Not actually sure.

If s/he turns out to be a boy, I will probably sell. There are a couple of people who breed polish on the area, polish roosters seem to sell.
If no one buys. . . Well, I already have a plan for the unwanted male chicks I shall no doubt hatch down the road, and that is donate to the local raptor rescue.

I read about this with horses...:sick

How exactly does this work?
Do you kill the bird or do they?
Age limits?
Are they concerned about any avian diseases?
They ask about know illness or medications
I think the youngest they will take is six months, but don't quote me
They humanely euthanize (I assume in a kill cone or similar, but I don't ask) and give them to the birds.
They do ask about Mareks and respiratory diseases.
