So I’ve got some shipped goose eggs in the incubator. What in the world am I looking at?

One egg:

Another egg:

According to my calculations they should t hatch for another week. Are these drawing down to pip? Do I need to move them to a hatcher?

I agree with Pyxis, they're just wonky air cells from shipping. They're looking good though! I hope you have a great hatch! I'm hatching goose eggs soon too.

Awesome! Anything I should be worried about as they get closer to hatching?
What breed are they?
Not really, just keep watching and waiting for internal pips! And don't worry, they take forever
to hatch. Like 30-48 hours from extetnally pipping, even longer sometimes. They're so slow. But they're really good, strong hatchers.

Colt, I'm sorry to say those eggs do not look good. To me, the first egg will likely not hatch as it is not positioned correctly. The other egg may hatch, but will have challenges as it also not ideal positioning.

Fyi, for those who are setting eggs with detached or wonky aircells, the best way to encourage proper positioning is to incubate them upright (with ever so slight angle to rotate), forcing the air pocket to be trapped at the top.

Booo! That's not what I wanted to hear. Is there anything I can do at this point to help them out?

So these were incubated upright, not on their side. Perhaps the turner was operating at too steep of an angle for the shipped eggs.

You may get lucky and the gosling will eventually turn into a better position in the next few days. I've seen all sorts of crazy things over the years. But I can't think of anything you can do to help. I hope you have other eggs? It is still early in the season.
