Our past flock would do this they also seemed to line up to be next as they liked a particular spot next to the coop ramp. Kind of like nest boxes. There is plenty to use but they only like certain ones.

How funny! My Buff Brahmas were always serious about their dust bathing. It's very funny when you get one like that. Thanks for sharing!

Just a heads up, if you buy miracle grow brand soil or perlite (the white stuff in your soil) it's sprayed with fertilizer and chickens loooooove to eat perlite in my experience. They also like pumice which is fine, they eat it for the same reasons as grit but obviously they don't know about the fertilizer spray.

this mix is coco with pearlite! it was housing my shot tomoato plants. its not the go to bath spot. Thank you!!
