I agree, looks ground termites.. is this from the ground up, or sitting on top of the hay only? Initially i thought it looked like peacock poop!!Do they look like termite larvae?
Interesting, there is a massive infestation of Bermuda grass (which is used for hay) stem maggots in the south, especially Georgia.
