California Gray Male. They are a Leghorn cross that gives White hens with a few black feathers and Barred males. Supposedly better layers with a larger body - an attempt to make a dual purpose bird from Leghorns.

I keep debating beetween dominiques, barred rock's or a Silver cuckoo maran's.

Check out the back of the comb in the new picture. It has the crown that is characteristic of the Penedesca. I now think you have a nice looking Penedesca mix. That also explains the white earlobes and the thinner body.
I do not think he is a Marans. His body is just not wide enough, the color is too light, and that head just looks so much like the Mediterranean breeds. Having said that, perhaps he is a Cukoo Marans X Wheaten Penedesca.
