What in the world?

I bought eight new chicks this spring I know what each one is, except for one girl! (*fingers crossed she is a girl*)

She was in a "white egg pullet" bin at our local feed store. The people working had no idea what she was, but she was with probably 20 others just like her.

I'v included pictures of her. The first picture was taken 3 weeks ago (she is on the left, next to my EE/Ar/Am and the second picture was taken today. She has changed so much! She looks like an EE in a way. I'v also seen a picture a friend sent me of a Maran that looks just like her. Also, some buff orphingtons look like her. She has the same blue-grey color feet as my EE/Ar/Am chicks (not 100% sure which they are).

What are your thoughts, experts? Thank you so much, ahead of time!!

shes got the buff colombian look to her as for breed to me she looks a bit gamish

if she has a single comb shes a golden lakenvelder, lucky you! She will get white ear lobes and they are a flightly breed. They do lay a white egg

My daughter brought one home and I went right back and exchanged it for a Faverolle. I already have a flighty hen and she's not easy to catch in a hurry. However, this particular one was really calm.

I didn't want a white egg layer either.

Mine is very calm. She is one of the few that will met me pick her up and hold her.

Cool! Was she really as yellow as she looked in those younger pics???!!! That is the yellowest color I've ever seen on a chicken! I think she's a Lakenvelder, too. They lay white eggs and are in a lot of hatcheries white egg layer mixes.

most people don't know of them and most of them are slivers, but some hatcheries are carrying the golds this year
