What in the world is on his comb?

It could be someone picked on him, or he has some sort of pox.
I would do some research on wet and dry fowl pox.

I've looked it up and everything looks bubbly and full of liquid. This is flat and scabby looking.

He mightve scratched himself or got picked and it scabbed over. Blu-Kote on it will conceal it from being picked again. Dont get it in his eyes.

He has it on both sides though. I'm so confused
