She may have injured it on wire or a feeder.

Possibly it's a Papilloma. I'd leave it alone and observe it. It may dry up on fall off on it's own.
Okay, that's what I'm doing. I haven't been out to see it today but last night when I put her on the roost, it was bleeding a little bit.
 
Something like that may bleed if it gets bumped or picked at. Hopefully it will heal up and fall off on its own.
I looked at it closely today and it was scabbed over and looked fine. I think I'll just have to wait and see what happens with it... it probably got bumped or pecked at and that caused the little bit of blood.

I'm not sure that it's an injury from wire, because it appeared cylindrical, but I guess it could be. Hard to tell, chicks don't hold still for very long.
