What in the worm world? (GROSS)

If she were mine i would threat her for cecal worms and rule them out. For treating cecal worms, my vet suggested Safeguard liquid for goats at 0.23 ml per pound once orally and repeat in 10 days.
Thank you! I even have some!

Chickassan, if it's drain flies, do you think that they did her any lasting harm or are likely to recur? I will see to that drain forthwith!

No I don't think they'd harm anything, they're just unfortunate passengers.
Once the chickens can't drink out of or forage in the drain they should stop pooping the larvae if thats what they are.:)

View attachment 1718431 This picture is very similar. It's flea larva. I have seen her eat mice, and there are wild birds and squirrels that hang out and the chickens free range most days.
Poultry worms dont have a black in color head nor black in color tail as in the photo.
Here are cecal worms in the pic below:

Thank you. I can't be sure, so here's the plan.:

Today is the regularly scheduled quarterly ivermectin dosing, so instead I fenbended (fenbent?) the whole flock. That's the reason I had the Safeguard anyway; I thought it might be a good idea to rotate the two.

I will redig my drain field closer to the house so that I don't miss it for so long if I spring another leak.

Any other suggestions or advice are very welcome. You guys are so freaking smart.
