We found out our hens eggs are fertile! We want to hatch them, but this is our first time incubating eggs. We have yet to get an incubator. Do you guys have any incubator preferences? Like ones that worked better? Also, do you have any tips of incubating?

you can start small, 12 egg ebay incubator or something .. the one i got has auto turning which is nice .. you need a seperate temp/humidity gauge so pick that up with it to actually keep inside next to the eggs so you can verify things .. the inc will be adjustable so you can get it right .. many of those small 'do everything' incs are hard to control humidity in especially on the lower end which is where you want it the first 2/3rds of the way .. many people use a various size lid to contain the water in the bottom so the humidity isnt too much, around 40-50 is good until the end then around 80 at lockdown .. temp try to hold at 99.5 .. it will fluctuate some ... some people keep the styrofoam the inc came in and leave it sitting in the bottom half of it to stabilize temps more ...keep ambient temps as steady as you can, be very careful in handling the eggs as you go along .. and 'good luck' :)

From what I read about people using the NR360, seems like the best one for someone new at incubating. It seems to have high praises from the people using it and it's easy to use.

There's a thread for it, just type NR360 in the search bar and read up on it. Hope that helps and good luck.
