Paid 130 for mine including shipping.
I like the 1588 for incubating but prefer the lg for hatching so I use both.

I agree with the other posts. If you ask 20 different people you will likely get 20 different answers and it depends on how much you can afford to pay. I have a cabinet incubator for incubating but do use my LG for hatching.

Genesis 1588 is a good one. It is preset so all you have to do is just put the eggs and water in it. The turner is optional.

why do you say the lg is good for hatching?

I use the Sportsman cabinet incubator to incubate and sometimes I do staggered hatches so when the eggs that are ready to go into lock down I put in the LG and then put a new batch of eggs in the cabinet incubator, so I really don't use it much any more for incubating but found it handy to hatch in. Here are a couple of pics.

I agree, our Hovabator 1588 is my favorite. It's preset, easy to use, & relatively inexpensive. Btw, cmom, I love your brooder, too
