what is 4h?

I had someone approach me about buying my ducklings for 4h. I've grown attached to my ducklings and don't want them to go to someone who is going to slaughter them. I was wondering if 4h groups raise poultry for slaughter? Thanks!

http://www.4-h.org/ Here is a link that lists the Ohio Poultry projects (most states will have the same/similar ones available). http://www.oardc.ohio-state.edu/4hpoultry/t02_pageview/Getting_Started_with_Poultry.htm There are usually projects for both Exhibition and Market for Ducks (ie 150DE Duck, Exhibition (Fancy) and 150DM Duck, Market), so you would need to ask what project they are doing.
