What is a started pullet?

Well, not what you bargained for. But I think you chose a wonderful variety of breeds. With your warm Florida weather, you can probably set up an outdoor brooder pretty soon.

Tried the hen, no go. She backed into one corner and all the chicks went to the other. One or two tried to get underneath her and she pecked at them. Got one of my husbands utility lights, put it on the side of the box, put a meat thermometor on the other. They seem happy. I can't believe after all the research I did I ordered chicks. I saw pullet and thought I ordered started pullets. Started isn't there. It was just pullet.

Well, sometimes the best things happen because we make mistakes. Go with the flow and I think you will be happy with the results. You will have a better relationship with them, and you will get to watch them grow, just as if they were your own children. (They are, aren't they???)...lol
