What are the readings suppose to be 100 - 102 degrees or am I suppose to be looking at 85.3 - 87.0 at about 55 humidity. I don't get it. I used to just use the thermometer that came with the Hovabator and then I bought this thermometer w/hygrometer that has the temp on the left and the humidity on the right. Is the temp on this thing suppose to be like 85.3 - 87.0 instead of 100 -102; and then that would make the relatively humidity (what ever that is) at 55 or is the temp suppose to be 100 -102 with that humidity. I'm tempted to shuck this one and place a simple thermometer in again and the heck with the humidity. I never worried about it all these years and my hatches were decent. I just thought I'd try for more than decent but this is stressing me out and has me totally confused.

Keep your temp in the 100 degree range. That unit you have has nothing to do with a wet bulb thermometer.
Wet bulb reading refers to a method of calculating humidity by comparig the temps displayed on 2 bulb type thermometers side by side. One is dry and the second has a wet wick enclosing the bulb. The evaporation of moisture from the wick lowers the temp reading on the wet thermometer. The rate of evaporation is controled by the humidity in the incubator. Charts are available which give you the humidity % based on the 2 temperature readings.
