What Is Behind This Calcium Deposit?

Hey friends! We have an older hen, maybe 5ish years (our others are 2 and 3 months old)
Red, the older hen, has been laying eggs with what I THOUGHT were just calcium deposits… and, someone correct me if otherwise, but I thought those were harmless. So we cracked several, and… it was kind of gross looking.. everywhere there was a calcium deposit, on the inside of the shell, was a slimy “bubble” and on some of them, a pocket of black, crumbly stuff…? Not all of them had the black substance however, and the slimy bubbles were wherever the calcium deposit on the outside was, so not necessarily in the spot where the air cell would be. Are these still safe to eat? What are these spots on the inside? Lord’s Willing, how do we fix them? Any information will help, thank you in advanceme, and Have a Blessed Day!!!

Are the spots in the inside hard or do they have a 'fleshy' feel when you scrape them with fingernail?
They do kind of look like meat spots, and may have affected the shelling, thus the bumps on the outside.
Nothing to 'fix' if bird is eating/drinking/pooping/moving around OK.
If meat spots, they are fine to eat if you can get past the 'gross' aspect.

Blood spots are from a blood vessel breaking when ova is released from follicle.
Meat spots are from a tiny piece of tissue breaking loose from the reproductive tract.

Ewww. Gonna pretend like I’m not slightly grossed out by that! I’ve treated bumble foot, been pooped on, the works, but for some reason that is unsettling, haha!
The spots are definitely fleshy, and very slimy. And almost like a white/clear-milky film over top of the black crumbly stuff.
Do you think it’s blood spots, or meat spots?

Maybe a bit of both.
Yeah, it's gross, but not that abnormal.
Hang in there.
