i have used everything from cardboard boxes to plastic totes LOL....

right now im in the 5 29g fish tanks and a 55g fish tank...

whats really surprising is the fish tank lights themselves keep the tanks at a comfortable 99.3 degrees....

I built my brooder just out of recycled 2X4's and some old plywood. Used small wire around the bottom and a piece of plexi-glass underneath that. I built mine where you can divide it though. Just in case I have to quarantine a couple later on. But I've used plastic tubs and they work GREAT. So it's all on how much time and money you wanna spend on one. Good luck with everythang though.

Since you built a wire floor you can slide a solid bottom in it an when they grow up a bit slide it out.

Is there a chance of their toes gettin stuck in the wire and breaking? Cuz I though about that about the time I finished it

and thought maybe puttin cardboard on the bottom would do until they were 3 or 4 weeks old. Just a thought. If ya would please help me out with ideas. I don't want my lil ones breakin their toes.
