What is citron?

I've recently seen Citron colored birds. Would someone tell me what this color is made from?

its's a diluted shade of Gold

I have Citron Mille Fleur Pyncheons.....the ground color is more of a pastel shade of the original color.....in my case: from the Mille Fleur Pyncheons. Citron to Citron breeds true.

As I understand it the Lemon uses the gene Ig Inhibitor of Gold to stop gold from displaying.

from Henks calculator Inhibitor of Gold. Recessive gold diluter, Gold to lemon.
As it is recessive that means you need two copies of the gene on from mom one from dad to have it show.
