How hot can baby chicks take it outside? We were 98 degrees today. I have two baby chicks in a converted dog crate inside the chicken coop with a fan on them? Can they stay there even if it gets hotter? If not, at what age can they go back outside?

Their temp needs to continue to go down by five degrees each week after birth from 95 degrees.

I'd keep them inside for awhile if it's going to be over 100.

At what age can baby chicks be taken off of the medicated feed and just put on a regular chicken feed? What age do the pullets go on the layer crumbles? These are my first babies. Ive always had mature hens.
