my hubby says me for going thru the aggravation of incubating and hatching them out!!
i admit i am so tired of the constant checking and feeding of the little guys.. It was never so hard to raise chicks.....
I am worn out here! i feed mine wet feed, hard boiled egg yolk, and cut up grass and clover. Most are thriving so far but i have lost some in first 2 or 3 days of hatching.... I use sugar in the water first few days and hand feed each one who appears weak..
next year I will try ducks!!!

Sounds like you are doing all you can and then some!!
Better Luck with the ducks!!

Did you put a chicken chick in with them? I have read on here that a chicken chick will 'show' them how to eat. I haven't had turkeys (yet), so I don't know if you would still have to feed some of them. But it's worth a shot. And guineas aren't that smart either, as adults anyway. Tell hubby he will thank you when your Thanksgiving table has the biggest bird on the block on top!!

Once you are confident about what you are doing and have everything set up right, they are no more work then a chick, really. We check ours in the morning change waters and feed and again at night, same goes with the chicks.

I have a couple of brothers and some Illinois politicians that I will put up against any turkey in a dumber contest.

Yes put some chicken chicks in with the turkey chicks. I did and they showed the turkey chicks the ropes on how to eat and drink. I had no trouble at all...Good luck!
