What is everyone using to store eggs before incubating

I can't store eggs on the kitchen counter - I have an egg thief. Silly dog. I do store eggs in the library cabinet in a cardboard carton. My own eggs I've held for up to two even three weeks, I've found three week old eggs outdoors and had them hatch. I've hatched refridgerated eggs and eggs that came in from a coop in winter that were almost frozen, mid to high 30s' and some hatched.

I don't hold shipped eggs for more than 10 days ever, and preferably not that long.

I shoot for not more than five but the postal system has helped that not happen a few times.

If it's over two weeks it's either because I forgot them, something happened and I needed the room for a disaster hatch, or I found a lost nest. Sometimes I turn, if I forgot I don't, if they were found, I doubt it.

While hatch counts have been down on later eggs so far I've never had a no hatch from stored eggs of any age above.
