What is going on with my Toms?

This morning I noticed these back marking on my on my Tom’s heads. Is this blackhead or were they fighting? I see no blood and they are acting normal

As Ralphie would say, they had a snood pulling contest.

They will heal fine without any intervention.

I would separate them so that only one tom is in with the hens.

They are in a shed that leads to a 6 x 10 run. It’s only temporary until we finish the other enclosure but we got behind with other projects. I would love to free-range them but they jumped the fences before and I’m afraid of them getting close to the highway.

Thank goodness! I was so worried! I think I’ll move one out to the barn until I figure things out. We had hoped for only one Tom but after two started gobbling we knew it would be tricky. I’m hoping to be able to keep them both.

you should be able to keep both depending on the permanent pen size also how many hens do you have

And, you could make two pens, if possible.
