Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me with my hens. I have 4 eight month old EE's, 1 eight month old SLW and 2 3 month old Brahmas. In the past couple of weeks all of them (other than the Brahmas) have completely stopped laying. They also seem to be losing some weight, but not that much and I've noticed today that a few are making a new sounds. It sounds like a cough/sneezy/weezy sound. Can anyone help as to what in the world is going on with them? I have checked them from head to toe and they have no mites/lice, their poop is normal with no worms that I could see.

Any help or advice would be great!

Sounds like a respiratory illness.in my own flock I've been successful in treating respiratory illness with Tylan50 which can be found at the feed store. The dose is for large birds 1/4 cc for small birds 1/2 cc given into the Brest muscle once a day for 5 days. Many poultry owners successfully treat with tylan50 its a very good choice for respiratory symptoms. On the bottle it will say for cattle and swine .don't let that worry you. many poultry owners choose tylan50 to treat with. The reason I'm thinking its respiratory is because of the wheezing you have described. I really hope this helps and wish you the best!
