i have 35 bantom polish and silkie/polish cross eggs in the incubator it has been 22 days and no hatching. When I candled one it showed the egg was not fulled completely by the chick and there was still movement. Is this okay? Why is this happening? I've been sure to keep the humidity and temps at a even level of 99.5 and 53 until lock down when it was switched to 98 and 67/68. Are my chicks going o hatch? Why is only half the egg being taken up?

Hmm. I've never hatched eggs before, but at my 4-H club, we have. I believe that is correct, but I don't know why they aren't hatching. Have you candled all of them? Sometimes it's just one bad egg that won't hatch.

I've candled all of them veins are still able to be seen and the chick is noticeably moving about just seems under developed

It's possible that your thermometer may be off and your temperature was a little low. I would let it be for a few more days and see what happens.
I will try this. my boyfriend just cracked open one.... the chick was alive:( and moving but looked way way way to small... I will leave the rest. How long do you suppose?

Hmm. Alright. Well try and wait a few more days. If nothing happens, come back to this thread and let us know. I'm quite curious...

It sounds like the temperature was too low. For the next hatch, calibrate your thermometer. Use one that reads in tenths too. Brinsea makes a very good Thermometer
