I'm going to say he is a mix, from a Black Australorp hen x game or RIR rooster and the hen could of been a black giant as well.
Very nice bird.

He's definately a beauty!! Thanks for the input from everyone - mixes and all I think we have pretty much narrowed it down to some black giant / Astralorp, some BC Maran.
