I think its kids that are strange and sweets are just designed to cater to that strangeness.

or maybe strange adults assume kids are strange and they would like strange things? the amount of poop games i saw in the toy shop at christmas was alarming. i was thinking... the goal should REALLY be to get kids NOT to play with poop.

the protest is gonna be a while, i think. they're saying they're going to be sleeping in their trucks and tractors tonight.

the husband put solar lights around the garden. he wants to add more. he's a little giddy. i hope he doesn't go overboard. but i like them so far.

Are the lights for fun? Or against the fox?
Against a fox a beamer that puts him in a bright light might help. Not these.
For fun is not a good idea. Much light after sunset disturbs nature.

he wanted to put some light on the paths. they really aren't very bright. the camera has a bright spotlight with motion detection. the fox couldn't care less about it.

We have barn swallows here and I'm always excited when they return in the spring. We have a mud nest on both front and back porches that a pair claims every year. They're charming little birds! And worth their weight in gold when it comes to eating mosquitoes!

they chase hawks away too! they were in our shed before my husband finally put a door on it. he finally put a door on it because they relentlessly swooped at him one summer. they decided they didn't like him one bit

i got swooped at too, but not as bad as him.
but i did use an umbrella to pick stuff out of the garden.
for just in case.

i blame the husband for that.
