what is he

someone dumbed this on DD porch awhile back. We are trying to figuer out what he is. Vet said maybe some shepard. Maybe some kind of collie?? What ever he is he is the smartest thing around.

He looks Aussie-ish but a bit terrier too to me. His colours are back to front for a German Shepherd. The legs say Rottweiler though

ETA He has a hint of Border Collie about him. He's a fine blend of neighbourhood dogs

I thought that too about the shepard markings but there are alot of terriers with the same markings, but now that you mention it the legs do kinda look rottie. How old is the pup? Sandy
