What Is He?

Dad is a Buff Orp. but I'm trying to figure out what kind of crazy mix mom is. When I posted a pic of her last fall the guesses were Choc Orp. mix. This is her boy and he has green highlights in his tail and he's bigger than his dad.

Charlie is a good boy, I'm just so curious what breed mix he got from mom. Any guesses? She's a brown layer.

Her eggs aren't super dark, but they are consistently darker than my Buff Orp eggs (which sometimes are almost pink).

Had a friend that's been raising chickens for a couple decades take a look. Said he had no doubt they're BCM mixes.

One of my hens from the same hatch out has is all buff except a black iridescent green stripe tipping her tail (the same color as Charlie's tail). I'm sure Cocoa Puff is her mom, too.

On the right is an egg from one of my BOs and the other is her egg. Darker brown and I don't know how well the dark speckles show up on the top, but there is faint "freckling" on her eggs. More info telling me my neighbor's probably correct.

Looks like the previous guesses are right, she’s a chocolate Orpington
