Been raising backyard chickens for 7ish years. Third flock...."If you aren't laying, you aren't staying" at my house. Bought 4 first week of May 2016 as baby chicks at Atwood's. Down to 2. A RIR and then there's Ash. Daughter picked it AND the young dude at Atwood's didn't know what Breed she was, but guaranteed me a Hen.
Fast forward 10 months. RIR HAS been laying for several months. Ash is not. TRYING to figure out what She is AND if she really is a she.
No crowing. Pea Comb. No wattle. Black legs.
Please HELP.

Looks like a pullet. I would guess that she's an australorp mix. All of my australorp mixes have turned out with wonky combs, pea, buttercup (this one is interesting, she's all black, with the aforementioned buttercup comb, and a small topknot. Her eggs are olive colored) ect.

I don't see a beard or muffs?

Black bird, with a pea comb, all I got is a Sumatra. I can't tell from the pics if she has the correct-ish body shape, we'd need a better profile picture for that.

The pic that shows it best is the one where she is standing looking up at the camera. Hard to tell, since it is black on black...

No beard or muffs. Black coloration is very glossy with blue undertones. In the direct sunlight she has la blue/green sheen to her feathers.
