Well we were hoping to get 5 BSL's but ended up with an odd ball. These were picked out of TSC's assorted pullets bin. So far out of 13 'pullets' I have 4 males. Possibly a 5th.

So anyway... these are what I was thinking were BSL's, they were the right color for a BSL chick but they've feathered into this, are they BSL's? I have 4 of them.

And this thing... there are a lot of pic of this ONE chick.... have no clue what it is and am suspecting it's the 5th male, help? If it is a male it's going to a ranch with the rest of them next week....

Some of the BSL strains have more red/gold bleeding thru the chest area so #1 still looks like a bsl to me. Does #2 have green legs? It kind of looks like it, but I can't tell for sure in the pic. Her (I *think*) coloring is very similar to a couple of my EE's though they're not quite as dark in the back end. Pretty birds in any case.

Didn't realize more gold could bleed through on a BSL, good to know,

Second one has straight comb, black feet with just a tad of yellow in there on the upper legs, not green that's just my crappy camera and flash. Not an EE. Already have had plenty enough of those to say that with certainty

Wasn't a chipmunk colored chick either, all black with a hint of brown like the BSL's Plus it's built like a meaty, very big boned and already MUCH larger than the others, lots of meat of this chick. The EE's I've had have not developed near this fast. So thinking it's more of a dual purpose breed.
I was thinking it could be a welsummer but the leg color is wrong. Hatchery was Privett but they don't post a breed list on their website. Notice the red coming through in the comb and wattles, kinda much for a 5 week old pullet right? Plus the legs are huge, bigger than even the boys I have out of this bunch.

Totally stumped. But there's still the remote possibility that it's a odd combo BSL.....

And please don't take offense to the whole EE thing, it's just that not every oddball looking bird or mixed breed is an EE!
