I just don't understand! What is it with silkies in Alabama?? I couldn't find a silkie if it was going to save my life. I have searched on here, craigslist, newspaper, websites... I can't come up with anything else. It is driving me insane. I know that part of it is that I want a POL or about to lay, hen type deal and not eggs or chicks which are more common but you would think out of nearly the wholestate of Al there would be ONE silkie someone was trying to or wanted to sell. Maybe I don't know where to look. Every thing I run across falls through.

Anyway, thanks for letting me rant. I needed to get that out. Now, back to searching...

Have you gone to the "Where am I? Where are you?" and found the Alabama postings? There was a BYCer from Scottsboro who had lots of Silkies for sale. They may have some left.

Have you checked the Birmingham and Huntsville CL? I know a few weeks back there was a lady on the Birmingham one that had day old silkies for $2

Bama chick I did look on there and I THINK I know who were are talking about and she mentioned not having any but thanks for the tip. I probably need to get back on there and look again just to see.
Yes there is a fair amount of chicks for sale but I am looking for one that is a little older so that is out of the question. I only wish there was the amount for older ones.

Oh, and I do know about Lacon but I was thinking along the same lines as you. I just don't know what I would be getting and that worries me.
